MAPPING
Why using it?
It is a preparatory tool, useful to use before starting the prototyping phase. Use it to understand which actions should be done by the provider of the service and the user of the service and understand what is needed for the interaction.
What is it?
It is a map divided in 5 main part: when, who, where, how and what. It’s a visualizing tool, useful to better understand the phases of a specific service.
Steps
• Let participants reflect about the actions of the service.
• Let participants fill the map starting from the “when” section (pre, during, post) in which they will define and write down all the actions in a chronological order.
• For each action define who is involved, where the action takes place, the modality of development (how), and what are the useful element needed for implement it.
• Let participants present the map.
Tips for the facilitator:
Explain them the tool giving questions.
Materials needed:
Paper, markers, post it.
