

PAPER COLLAGE

Why using it?
The tool aims to present participants and facilitates the conversation on topic such as career, lifestyle, family, through the use of a visual language.
What is it?
The paper collage consists of images and words put together on a board in a visual depiction, representative of the way participants perceive their present. It can be an individual or a group activity.
Steps
• Provide a clear brief about the collage task - It is about career development? Or maybe career and lifestyle?
• Provide a consistent but various selection of images and words (for example from different typologies of magazines/newspapers) is fundamental.
• Every participant should have an A4 paper board, a scissor, a marker, a glue and enough material to work with (at least a magazine). If the activity is a group activity, a bigger surface should be provided to let the group collect images and words on a common board.

Tips for the facilitator:
Help participants reflect on motivations to avoid stereotypes and to facilitate the conversation.

Materials needed:
Poster boards, scissors, glue, markers, old magazines and newspapers.

Time:
30 minutes.
